The short version. Formfoto is a free tool that helps you make photos, signatures and files for forms. It follows the rules forms publish, but forms change and portals have checks of their own, so we can't promise that a form will accept your file. Always check your form's latest notice. Formfoto is not affiliated with any government, embassy or exam body.
About these terms
These terms apply to the Formfoto: Passport Photo Maker app ("Formfoto", "the app") and to this website, both made by Workaholic Developers ("we", "us"). By using the app or the website, you agree to them. How the app handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
A free app, provided as is
Formfoto is free to download, every feature is included at launch, and it has no ads. We may improve, change or remove features over time. The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available".
Presets follow published rules, but forms change
- Each preset follows the size, pixel, background, head-size and file-size rules that a form publishes, and cites the notice it follows with the date it was checked.
- Forms can change their rules at any time, and portals, offices and embassies may apply checks of their own. We can't guarantee that any of them will accept a file made with Formfoto.
- Always check your form's latest notice before you submit. If a preset differs from it, follow the notice (a custom preset can match any size and KB range) and tell us, so we can fix the preset.
- Custom presets are your own settings; you are responsible for their values.
Not affiliated with any authority
Formfoto is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by any government, embassy, consulate, passport office or exam body. Names of exams, documents and countries are used only to describe which published rules a preset follows. A green check in the app means a file meets the preset's numbers, not that any authority has approved it.
Your photos and your responsibility
- You are responsible for the photos, signatures, thumb impressions, declarations and documents you make with Formfoto and for what you submit with them, including that they are genuine, current and meet the form's rules.
- Only use photos and documents you have the right to use: of yourself, of people who have agreed, or of a child in your care as their parent or guardian.
- Background replacement and light adjustments exist to meet published rules, not to change how a person looks. Don't use Formfoto to misrepresent anyone's identity, to forge or alter documents, or for anything unlawful.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the app or this website, including that they will be accurate, error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, or that any file they produce will be accepted.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Workaholic Developers is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of the app or this website, including a rejected or delayed application, a missed deadline or a fee you have to pay again. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Open-source parts
The app and this website use open-source components under their own licences, including the Anek Devanagari and DM Mono typefaces (SIL Open Font License) and Lucide icons (ISC licence).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above always shows the current version. If a change matters for how you use the app, we will say so on this page.
