How it works

Three steps from phone to portal

No cropping by eye, no re-saving until the file is small enough. Formfoto knows the numbers, and shows you each one.

    Pick your form

    Search by exam, document or country. Each preset holds the form's numbers: size, pixels, background, head size and the KB range, plus the notice it comes from.

  2. 02

    Take or import a photo

    The camera draws the form's head oval and eye line and checks head size, centring, tilt, eyes and light as you frame. Already have a photo? Import it and the same checks run.

  3. 03

    Get the exact file

    Formfoto fixes the background, crops to the head rules and lands the file inside the KB range. Save it to Photos, share it, or print a sheet of copies.

Always check your form's latest notice.

Every preset cites the notice it follows. The preset list is public: formfoto.wdlab.app/presets.json. The app checks it for updates at most once a day, and you can switch that off.

Signatures, size limits, PDFs and prints, with the same measured checks.

  • Signature and thumb cleaner

    Photograph your signature or thumb impression on plain paper. Formfoto turns the paper pure white, crops to the ink and sizes it to the form's pixels and KB. Signatures can be recoloured black or blue; thumb impressions keep their grey tones. Hand-written declarations work the same way.

  • Resize any photo to X KB

    Any photo, or a whole batch, to a maximum (and optional minimum) file size. Keep the dimensions or set pixels, cm at a DPI or a percentage, as JPG or PNG, and see the size before and after.

  • Images to PDF under X KB

    Turn photos of certificates, ID cards or pages into one PDF under the upload limit. Reorder and rotate pages, choose A4 or fit to the image, or scan straight from the camera.

  • Print sheet, 4×6 in or A4

    As many copies as fit on 4×6 in photo paper or an A4 page, at 300 DPI with cut lines and an optional name line. Export a PDF at exact physical size, or a JPG, and take it to any photo shop.

No account, no ads, no tracking.

  • Photos, signatures and files are made and kept on your phone. There is no server for your data.
  • Face checks and background replacement run on the device itself.
  • The only thing the app downloads is the public preset list, and that request carries nothing about you.
  • No analytics, ad or tracking SDKs. Importing uses the system photo picker, so Formfoto never sees the rest of your library.

FAQ

Good questions

Will the portal accept my photo?

Formfoto follows the rules each form publishes (size, pixels, background, head size and file size in KB) and every preset cites the notice it comes from, with the date it was checked. Before you save, each rule is measured and shown as a check.

Forms do change their rules, so always check your form's latest notice before you upload. Formfoto is not affiliated with, endorsed or approved by any government, embassy or exam body.

Can it really land between 20 and 50 KB?

Yes. Formfoto searches for the best quality that fits under the form's maximum. If a clean photo still comes out below a minimum, it uses more pixels where the form allows, and then pads the file to reach the minimum. The picture is unchanged, the file stays a normal JPEG, and the app tells you when it has done this.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. There is no account and no server for your data. Photos, signatures and files are made and kept on your phone, and they only leave it when you save or share them yourself. The only download is the public preset list, and that request carries nothing about you. Details are in the privacy policy.

Is Formfoto free?

Yes. Formfoto is free to download, every feature is included at launch and there are no ads.

Can I get prints from a photo shop?

Yes. Make a print sheet on 4×6 in photo paper or A4, export the PDF and ask the shop to print it at 100 % (actual size), with no fit-to-page scaling. How to print at a photo shop.

Which languages and phones?

English and Hindi (हिन्दी), on iPhone with iOS 15 or later and on Android 8 or later.
